why some people want to harm other peoples

on 26th november 2008,some terrorist of pakistan came to india from sea ways and so much people without any reason,i don't know what they want to do,but what they get by doing these type of disaster.is the humanity completely finished from the world? not only in india,they are doing all these things in whole world.what they want to prove,what they want to say to the world?
